Built in 1877 Logan Cottage enjoys a quiet setting yet just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the Highland Capital of Inverness. Logan Cottage offers well-presented accommodation, furnished and equipped to a very spacious and good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible- and is a perfect setting for family gatherings, special occasions or just a relaxing break. 

The location makes this the perfect base for exploring the many delights of this beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. You don’t have to go far to enjoy this part of the world – just a ten minute walk along the riverside (where you can watch the salmon fishermen) or a few minutes’ drive will take you in to the City Centre where you will find something for everyone – a large range of shops, fine restaurants and bars along with art galleries, museums and open topped bus tours to name but a few of the many amenities the city has to offer. In the height of Summer you can catch the Inverness City and British Legion Pipe Band from 8pm putting on a fine display of Pipes and Drums for Tourists. You can even learn to Ceilidh Dance in Inverness Town House

Eden Court Theatre which hosts many and varied performances and a cinema is just a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. The location of the cottage is also in the hub of Inverness sporting activities– Squash and Tennis Courts, Bught Park for Shinty and Football, Highland Rugby Club, Squash & Tennis, Inverness Ice Centre and Inverness Leisure Centre are all within easy walking distance.

You can take a short walk to The Caledonian Canal, built by Thomas Telford and join Jacobite Cruises to cruise on nearby Loch Ness and hunt for the famous Loch Ness Monster. The central location of the cottage also allows easy accessibility to Dores beach on the East side of the Loch and Urquhart Castle on its shores on the West side just a short drive away or for the more adventurous there is great walking and cycling around Loch Ness 360. The Cairngorm National Park with Aviemore at its centre is just a 40 min drive, where many outdoor sports and pursuits can be enjoyed. Mountain biking, Skiing/Snowboarding, water sports, fishing, climbing and hill walking are also widely available. 

Or why not go slightly further afield, take a day trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye or North West Coast to Ullapool the gateway to the Outer Hebrides and take a day trip to the Summer Isles, or go North to the East Coast and Sutherland Caithness area and take a Tour with Above and Beyond Tours  or take in the famous NC500 which starts and finishes from Inverness. You can also get to Orkney as a day trip from Inverness.

The area is renowned for the large number of historical attractions which include, Inverness Outlander Tour, Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor and Brodie Castles to name just a few.

Among the many activities available include golfing on some of Scotland’s most spectacular courses – MacDonald Spey Valley, Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart and Inverness Latest Kings course which is just a short walk away along from Logan Cottage, with the Fairways Course and driving range just a very short drive from house. 

Peppered along the Moray coastline are many lovely villages from Lossiemouth to Cullen with sandy beaches from which you may be fortunate enough to sight the famous bluenose dolphins the area is renowned for. Depending on the time of year you might even be able to do some whale-watching. Minke and killer whales both visit these waters and there have been sightings of sperm whales and pilot whales also. 

A trip along the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail is recommended – the only one of its kind in the world! Or Visit Local Distilleries like Tomatin Whisky Distillery and Glen Ord Distillery to try The Singleton or The Loch Ness Spirits for award winning Gin and Absinthe. all are within a very short drive from Logan Cottage, Inverness
